The mission of Henry Johnson Charter School (HJCS) is to ensure that all scholars reach the highest levels of scholastic achievement in an environment that instills character, virtue, and “habits of mind” that ensure success both within and outside the classroom: diligence, courage, respect, self-reliance, duty, and responsibility.

I serve students by consulting with school management teams. In my most recent full time role as a school leader, I fostered the traditions, relationships, and practices that determined the school’s climate and culture. I was responsible for the overall management of the school in accordance with the board’s policies. Though much of the work was properly delegated, I had the ultimate and overall responsibility for board relations, curriculum and instruction, school culture, business affairs, recruitment and enrollment. My results speak for themselves. Recently, I have focused on the following activities with various clients:• Developed system of integrated SIS data and KPI’s for a logistical approach to education analytics• Supplied objective analysis of alignment between internal curriculum, assessments, and the NYSTP• Provided leadership training and workforce development• Presented management with visual aids centered on objective standards based data for team motivation

• Managed the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce• Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members• Data driven decision making allowed for consistent and linearly progressive trend lines in all areas of the school• Led school to being labeled as performing “higher than expected to a meaningful degree” multiple times on annual SUNY Charter Schools Institute comparative performance review in ELA and mathematics.• Recognized as a Times Union Top Workplace

• Developed, implemented, and monitored day-to-day operational systems and processes that provided visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives• Built and maintained relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals• Planned, monitored, and analyzed key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks• Devised strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs• Upheld organization policies and standards, ensuring NYS SED regulations were followed
