With over five years of work experience in academia, I am a passionate and driven researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My research focuses on developing and implementing numerical methods and algorithms for simulating blood clotting in the event of an injury. This research utilizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD), mass transfer, and enzymatic reactions, to capture the hemodynamics of clotting in a wide range of applications. I have strong skills in OpenFOAM, C++, Matlab, Fortran, and LaTeX, and have published a paper documenting the clotFoam software that we developed to simulate blood clotting in arterial flow. As a graduate teaching fellow and assistant, I have also taught and mentored undergraduate students in calculus, differential equations, and scientific computing, and received positive feedback from both students and faculty. In addition, I have experience as an adjunct professor at Red Rocks Community College, where I designed and delivered courses in algebra. My core competencies include analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. I am motivated by the challenge and the beauty of mathematics, and by the potential impact of my research on advancing scientific knowledge and innovation. I am looking for opportunities to apply my skills and expertise in reactive CFD to problems arising in renewable energy, biology, or other applications, and to collaborate with other researchers and professionals in the field.
