I worked in various styles and types of restaurants since 1996, starting as a crew member and now have been successful as a manager in culinary, service and sales positions. Most recently, I helped open a test restaurant for Darden restaurants that houses both a Red Lobster and Olive Garden in one building and kitchen. I have been involved from the beginning with hiring of the 175+ crew and helping train, schedule, coach and manage for over a year. I not only have experience with ensuring guest satisfaction, but also maintaining high standards through out the restaurant.I was over my previous region's 9 restaurants training as the CTM (Certified Training Manager). I travelled to the restaurants auditing training materials, employment files and practices and held training seminars for all the Certified Trainers.I was previously the Culinary Manager leader over the 6 restaurants involved in the Synergy Restaurant Test experience for Darden Restaurants. My job included helping roll out new promotions, new core menus, consolidating and keeping separate 2 unique brands, managing labor, managing food costs and waste as well as keeping fixed costs to a minimum. Currently I am managing the third of six sets of restaurants as the service/sales manager. Operationally I have managed restaurants with low, moderate and high volumes successfully. I have been instrumental in developing and implementing many systems to control waste, labor, cost of goods sold, and lower fixed costs as well as maintain great crew and guest satisfaction.
