I am a recent mechanical engineering graduate with experience in designing valves for US military submarines, suspension geometry and vehicle dynamics on formula-style cars, LED light fixtures, control systems, and automation. I have skills in designing for different manufacturing techniques, such as molded, sheet metal, machined, extruded, and 3D-printed parts.During my time at MB Valve, I was responsible for completing the design on nine valves with a total value of $2,250,000 to ensure they met US military performance standards. At GE Current, I acquired skills in multidisciplinary engineering projects, working extensively on the electrical, mechanical, and optical aspects of the LED light fixtures. I also developed skills in rapid prototyping with sheet metal and 3D printed parts. As the suspension lead for Concordia Formula Racing, I improved the design of the suspension leading to better performance on the race track. I also streamlined the design process of the suspension by creating a weight transfer spreadsheet and complete simulation model of the suspension geometry.Through projects, I learned how to design a very stable LQR (linear quadratic regulator) controller for an inverted pendulum on a cart, and designed a robot that uses computer vision to avoid obstacles.I am easy to get along with and integrate well in different work environments, I am always willing to learn new concepts and skills, I never say no to a challenge, and I am highly motivated to be the best person and employee I can be.
