Few things will capture my attention and hours of my time more easily than an opportunity to explore and utilize engineering or scientific software, tools, and equipment. It’s reading through manuals, grasping the principles at play, understanding the functionality, and utilizing that functionality to design or test whatever it is I’m working on.My goal is simple: to challenge myself in a workplace alongside equally driven peers, making contributions to projects and endeavors that truly matter.How will I accomplish that? By making use of my experiences as an undergraduate, both the uplifting successes and the humbling failures. Serving as a research assistant taught me the levels of patience and dedication necessary to make advances in the experimental process, digging through dense journal articles before digging into the hands-on work. Leading my senior design project revealed both the pitfalls of effort without deliberate order, and the great rewards of focused and methodical action.At UCF, I developed a passion for materials science and a fondness for the electronic aspects of technology, both of which spill over into my hobbies and are exhibited in the work of my hands at home.I'm eager to employ my technical skills and see my efforts multiplied by working alongside and collaborating with talented people in the workplace; I'm eager to begin my career as an engineer.
