Across the 6 million BISP beneficiary families in Pakistan, it is estimated that there are over 12 million children between the ages of 5-12 years and data collected through BISP’s Nationwide Poverty Survey has revealed about 8.5 million of these children do not attend school, Waseela-e-Taleem will enable recipient families to send their children in the age group of 5-12 years to school and give cash incentives as long as compliance requirements are being met. Rs. 200 in cash will be paid to each family, per month per child, up to 3 youngest children. When Waseela-e-Taleem expands to cover at least 2 million beneficiary families.
