I have over 36 years of work experience in corrections both in the private and public sectors. I retired two weeks shy of 33 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. During my career, I started as a correctional officer and worked my way up through the ranks of the service, to include two positions at the Associate Warden level and two positions as warden, working at 13 separate duty stations throughout the country. My career includes stints at Minimum, Low, Medium, High and Administrative level federal institutions, as well as two Regional Offices and finally in the Central Office as the Assistant Director of the Correctional Programs Division.Since retiring from the U.S. government, I have operated my own consulting company with an on-going relationship with the Management and Training Corporation, the third largest provider of secure beds in the U.S.
