As a student at Penn State Behrend, I am currently in my second semester of Senior Project where I am analyzing the accuracy and importance of the D3 variable for material characterization in Autodesk Moldflow. I have been involved with 3D printing for a few years now, and it has become one of my favorite hobbies, as well as a skill I can use at work. I have worked as an injection molding intern at Port Erie Plastics where I pulled and set molds; started, restarted, and stopped machines, and adjusted processes in order to produce perfect parts. I have also worked closely with the automation team to produce custom head tools using additive manufacturing. I have been an intern across three years now, and I have started my Senior year at Penn State Behrend studying Plastics Engineering and Technology. I would like to both increase my own experiences and knowledge as well as work to improve the processes that I would take part in.
