With a background in manufacturing and engineering, I have transitioned into the world of software development. I am a graduate of Algonquin College with a two year diploma in Computer programming.My range of experience in both this program as well as private projects includes: Java: Experience in mobile and standalone desktop applications, and Spring Boot microservices. Kotlin: Leveraging this for Android Studio mobile app development.Web Development: Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience working with XAMPP servers and React Native. Experience in VS code for developing and managing web applications. Additional experience using servlets and JDBC connectors as well as JSP pages for management of web applications. CLI: Experience with the command line interface in Linux where I worked on creating applications in bash shell script using editors such as VIM. Container Services: Experienced in creating and managing microservices with using JWT for security while working with containerized databases and Java applications. Experience and familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Testing: I have familiarity writing Unit Tests for Java for both standalone applications as well as Mobile applications in Android Studio. Familiarity with Espresso for use in Android app testing. Version control/miscellaneous: Experience with Postman testing various APIs for message based application in Spring boot. Familiarity with Git, Git Desktop and git bash for managing repositories.
