My job role in the Royal Navy is Lead Engineer Technician in Communication Information Systems.In my role I am to operate and maintain specialist I.S and communications equipment on board the most advanced warships the Royal Navy has to date.I have the responsibility and experience which allows me to handle and work on classified material and systems. My most recent role was the lead point of contact on HMS DIAMOND providing a high quality of service and products in I.T to the Command and Ship's Company. A highly motivated team player, line manager and network administrator accustomed to leading teams to achieve success in a high tempo environment in global and military training operations with over 11 years of experience. I have built strong communication skills during my career through presentations, briefs and defect reporting to Naval Command and my experience has helped build good relationships with external contractors and 3rd party support networks.Dynamic and capable of coordinating and managing a team effectively in Radio Operation, fault finding and Communication Engineering. I am very passionate on training, coaching, mentoring and developing of junior members and peers. Previous experiences prior to the Royal Navy in Customer Services for Virgin Media and HSBC, with an appreciation and understanding for Security and GDPR. During my time at Virgin Media and HSBC I was a mentor and coach in the training academy for new members of staff. I have an enthusiasm to learn and recently successfully passed my CompTia Security+ and Network+. I am continuing to carry on my own personal development carrying out ITIL v4 foundation course. I am recently finished working for NATO in Belgium, representing the Royal Navy in an Information Technology Technician role, providing high grade service of I.T Security and Above Secret Intel/COMM's in a multi national environment.
