Media Services Specialist III:As a Media Services Specialist I acted as a contractor, within The MITRE Corporation, to perform tasks ranging from creating interactive Flash media applications to building and remodeling web site collections. In addition to the assigned creative projects, I was also in charge of setting up and maintaining web servers and displays systems for media content throughout the corporation. The majority of this work was under protective agreements or were implemented in classified environments. Some of the organizations I did provide service to included DARPA, DIA, DISA, Intellipedia, CENTCOM, JWCS, and NGA.Media Services Specialist I:While in this position at The MITRE Corporation I was the web content provider and graphic designer for the MITRE Media Services Group ( VTC - Video Teleconferencing Group ). I had taken that department’s entire online web collection and redesigned, consolidated, and centralized its information and resources while adding improvements to user flow and information layout and architecture. One of the major impacts, during that overhaul, involved taking all the VTC groups conferencing room directories, online room information sheets and technician room information stores and tying them into one web application. That application solved a variety of needs from keeping information up-to-date to administering and updating changes throughout the corporation’s conferencing facilities. I had handled everything from creating and designing the new web front using ASP, VBScript, HTML and CSS to building the back end MySQL database. Help Desk Support Specialist:This was the first position I had at The MITRE Corporation. While working at The MITRE Corporate Help Desk I worked with a skilled team to help resolve an issues relating to the corporate network, supported software and hardware, user accounts, and assimilation for new hires.
