Had to stress test worst case simulated gas portfolio to ensure whether OE's risk limits were within required boundaries. This meant:- run and evaluate a monthly risk test- write up the resultsThis was required by the management board, creditors and ASIC. The Gas Portfolio Analysis Test (GPAT) was a worst case simulation via a scenario where:- a gas powerplant tripped- a gas transmission pipeline outage (pigging)- a coal powerplant outage- Dollar (AUD / USD)- 1 in 20 outlier weather forecast from 1970 onwards- gas for Winter (east coast domestic)- supply and demand- APLNG

Was a team leader with a new co-worker who had more than 10 years experience (computer science) in banking but never worked in the gas market nor Origin Energy gas systems. Working together for 3 months, I started spending more time working with IT developing the gas contract systems. Primary, I developed the specifications so that mapped data files (received from counterparties) could be intergrated​ into the gas wholesale contracts and held in the data warehouse for future use. I also helped UAT once developed.
