I attended K-12 in that small town, and then went to a small public university in another small town in northeast Missouri. After college, I entered the military, became a paratrooper, and deployed to Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division. After commanding a detachment, I left the military to go to Harvard for a master's degree, then to Georgetown Law for my law degree.
