As Technical Director, I lead and coordinate the Federation's missional and public policy activities on risk management, climate finance, financial inclusion, technology and innovation, and payments in the Latin American banking sector.Similarly, I develop and oversee financial/sales budgets and metrics with direct impact on the company's P&L; I collaborate closely with other areas within the Federation (operations, sales, marketing and strategy) to identify, capitalize and/or optimize new business opportunities; and prepare and present executive reports to specialized publics.The role involves continuous engagement with banks, banking associations, trade associations, financial supervisors and multilateral banks (amongst other financial ecosystem participants), aiming to foster banking activity and promote its core business to its stakeholders.

FELABAN unites more than 580 banks and 18 banking associations across Latin America. As its Technical Deputy Director, my responsibilities focus on (without limiting to) developing analytical, research and advocacy activites in topics such as banking regulation, prudential supervision, capital standards, and cross-border regulation. I also support and provide macroeconomic research focused on current state and future trends of the LatAm banking sector.

In this role my main responsibility focused on identifying new business opportunities in the SME customers' market, particularly in borrowing, saving & investments, and payment methods products.- Created and implemented a query tool regarding the degree of vinculation of SME customers (based on Excel and VBA) which improved both SME Sales Team’s efficiency and results.- Developed database analysis and modelling skills by obtaining, processing and interpreting information of more than 150k SME customers at national level (more than 550 bank branches including their sales force); acquiring valuable skills both in MS Excel and MS Access applications and budget monitoring.- Strong communication and negotiation skills, developed through continuous meetings both with with the SME Sales force and diverse departments across the bank (credit, legal, marketing), obtaining experience at presenting complex information to specialist and non-specialist audience.

In this role my main duty was to track and process the revenues generated by the SME Sales Team; as well as supporting the creation and implementation of new strategies targeted to SME clients.- Developed customer-focused solutions and problem-solving skills through coordination, implementation and measurement of commercial strategies across diverse areas inside the bank; as well as sales team´ queries regarding commercial productivity and budget execution.- Assisted in report generations and data analysis regarding to SME customers’ behaviour, helping the department by constantly identifying new business opportunities

- Intern at the Macroeconomic and Financial Research Department. From this role I assisted in the generation and drafting of economic analysis publications regarding current state and trends in the Colombian financial system, with a particular focus on its banking sector as well as its medium and long term perspectives.

I was assistant professor of the courses Principles of Microeconomics, Microeconomics I, and Macroeconomics III. Through these positions I developed both communication and public speaking skills.
