Form presentations and supplemental hands-on activities for students to implement information and express biomedical ethical thought processes.

Demonstrate to students a model of efficient research poster and methods of presenting. As well as facilitate bioethical discussion for students to see implications of autonomy, justice, beneficence, and non-maleficence in biomedical contexts.

Encourage and empower students to express their perspectives on current social justice issues through multimedia.

Advised and led by Dr. Deborah B. Smith under the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Obtained CITI Certification, completed Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training, and reviewed Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols to meet research compliance requirements.Experimented with quantitative data entry using IBM SPSS Statistics software.Analyzed and synthesized quantitative and qualitative data to create a poster presentation for the 87th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Sociological Society (2024).

Co-led a presentation targeted towards high school students on the importance of consent, bodily autonomy, and healthy (platonic and/or romantic) relationships.Developed innovative methods for presenting in a virtual format to improve the quality of and student engagement with the presentation.
