As a young designer, I started my career while still in high school. Taking on small logo design and web design jobs. I took a gap year to take a graphic design course at the Willem de Kooning Academy, in Rotterdam. During this year I landed a job at Vinea Vakanties as an all-round graphic designer tasked with a branding redesign, advertisement creation and video editing. From there on out I started to work as a freelancer, doing working in bars and restaurants on the side. This is where I got my first big project. Designing a bar, 2 Gezusters, with a full company identity, and everything that comes with it. At this time my network started to grow, and more clients in the restaurant sector reached out, offering me small designing jobs year round.As bars and restaurants in the area got aware of my business, a newly opened brewery offered me a part-time position at their office to come and design labels for their new upcoming craft beer line.Involvement in a craft beer festival Rondje Zeist, as lead designer was the next step, and this was a great success. Then during the runup to 2020, one of the brewers at the brewery wanted to start his own bar, where the locally brewed beers could be consumed by their costumers. This again resulted in a full company identity, complete form website to business card.
