I have been responsible for the development, implementation and sales of innovative sustainable energy related products, projects and services such as: home energy system - the Qbox, crowdfunded solar and windparks and support services for the development of co-operative solar parks).I owned the entire process from strategy definition, concept development through pilots and product delivery to customer.I also represented Qurrent in the commission of the Sustainable Energy Production of the Dutch Association for Renewable Energy (NVDE) – a branch organization with a mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy supply by shaping a conducive legislative climate. About Qurrent:Qurrent is a sustainable energy company with a mission to accelerate the transition to an energy neutral world. By selling 100% Dutch renewable energy at cost price to 125.000 customers, Qurrent is disrupting the traditional energy system. The overhead is financed by a standing fee, while innovative products and services help customers save and produce their own energy. Qurrent has been selected as the greenest energy company of the Netherlands for five years in a row.

As the first employee of the organization I developed a portfolio of home energy saving and energy generation products (e.g. energy monitor, solar panels, solar boilers, insolation, LED-lights etc.). Our product Qbox, the in-house development of a home energy monitoring system, was ranked best home energy monitoring system by the Kassa-magazine (independent consumer information magazine).

While the DOEN foundation was preparing to operationalize the funding received for the developed business plan “We Generate,” I worked with the business plan team on the development of solutions for the implementation of sustainable energy products and services for households (e.g., solar panels, insulation, solar boilers).

Naarden

In a small team we developed a business plan for ‘the energy company of the future’— an energy company with a mission to help households save and produce their own energy. With this business plan (‘We Generate’) as input, the DOEN foundation won a fund of € 13 M from the Dutch Charity Lotteries.

I researched methods to improve the volume of collected clothing, in order to raise more funds for this social enterprise. As a result I presented a strategy to open new collection channels (including business case).

Robertson - South Africa

Feasability study on stustainable forms of waste management. As a result of this study a waste separation and recycling system was build. Twenty paid jobs were created.
