Locals Utrecht is a retail outlet that curates and sells food & drink products created by local producers and artisans.The idea was born during the Corona crisis to manage the surplus food that local suppliers now struggled to sell given the restrictions and closures within the hospitality sector. We took the surplus supply and created small food parcels that could be sold and delivered to consumers and to the employees of businesses that continued to support their remote workers.In four years we have become a respected and successful local shop that now sells both to consumers and hospitality businesses.

I founded the Warmoes cafe in Zuilen in Utrecht as this neighbourhood did not have anywhere for local residents to eat, drink, socialise, and relax in their home area. The cafe was an immediate success and began to attract customers from all over the Utrecht area. My partner & I founded the business and scaled it in 18 months to employ 14 staff members and drove monthly turnover from €0 to €25,000 per month.
