Wherever Weir sends their employees, the travel safety is never to be compromised. In 2014 I got in contact with Daan Brink, Managing Partner of PDG, to discuss possibilities to set up professional safety awareness training for our Service Engineers team. Already in the first pre-meeting with PDG it became apparent to me that Daan and his team had lots to offer. In a very trustworthy atmosphere they expressed their wide ranged experience related to international safety aspects. Although PDG was a young organisation, I was impressed about their relevant experience. Their background at the Army Special Forces and the Intelligence Services provides them the required skills and in-depth knowledge of international challenging environments. This resulted in several tailor made very high quality training sessions about Situational Awareness and Kidnap for Ransom for the Weir Service engineers and Weir frequent travelers. The excellent performance by PDG demonstrated at WEIR, provided great confidence. Therefore Weir is very interested in a long term relation with PDG. Next step for Weir is to discuss and investigate the Intelligence Services by PDG, which might be helpful for establishing ethical international business contracts.
