Master Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University Eindhoven. During the master performed 3 projects:Internship : “Collagen targeted MRI contrast agent to image and follow collagen formation in myocardial infarction.”Worked on the targeting of liposomes with CNA-35 to bind to collagen. Collagen is present in high levels after myocardial infarction.Externship: “Combining T1 and CEST in one targeted system”Learned the relatively new and sensitive MRI contrast technique CEST in Turin, Italy. I combined T1 and CEST contrast agents in one targeted liposomal system to get the best of both worldsMaster Thesis: "“Novel nanoparticles as T1 and CEST MRI contrast agents. A combined experimentaland modeling approach”Introduced the CEST technique in Eindhoven and worked together with Philips Research Eindhoven to continue the research. Next to actually making and characterizing the particles, the combined T1 and CEST behaviour was also modeled in Mathematica.
