I am an assistant professor at the department of Experimental Psychology at the UU, working on the topic of "Resilience in youth". My research is aimed at understanding how cognitive inhibition and impulsivity are shaped throughout development.I teach several different courses in the psychology bachelor, ACP master and AI bachelor and master programmes, focussing on cognitive psychology, neurosience and the application of AI methods.

At the DCCN, I was responsible for coordinating several MRI studies investigating the role of novel treatment interventions and comorbid disorders in children and adults with ADHD, as part of the European E2bN and CoCA projects. We are also investigaing the associations between lifestyle, diet, the brain and impulsive/compulsive behaviors using existing datasets like the UK biobank and Generation-R projects. Additionally, I coordinated the ENIGMA-ASD working group, where we ran innovative large scale MRI and imaging-genetics analyses on a world-wide cohort of ASD samples.
