In addition to our "Day Jobs", my wife and I teach Swing Dancing (Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, Charleston) two nights a week: Wednesdays at Nick's Nightclub in Alexandria, VA, and Sundays at McGinty's Public House in Silver Spring, MD.Our students love the engaging, fun atmosphere we provide, and enjoy discovering new ways to broaden their swing dancing abilities – whether learning new moves, or improving their fundamentals, we encourage our classes to have fun and experiment with techniques, and to embrace the spontaneity of the moment and the connection between partners.We also provide DJ services for parties and weddings; people love offering their guests something special, and we've found a ~20-minute "Survival Dance Lesson" to be the perfect ice-breaker. During my "sabbatical" during the Dot-Bomb, I moved out to Colorado and taught Snowboarding at one of the nicest ski resorts in the country: Steamboat.Sure the powder days were the best I've ever seen (coming from the East!) but teaching a dozen 11-year-olds how to do a "Heel-side Falling Leaf" has its own rewards!

* Worked in Server Operations and Internal Support department supporing Network Operations Center and Technical Support for the largest ISP on the planet. Involved in Y2K upgrade and certification process.* Coordinated massive, company-wide SunOS 4 to Solaris 2 workstation upgrade. Provided transition path for legacy applications.* Standardized Unix desktop environment (dotfiles, etc.) for thousands of new hires and existing employees.

Administered systems for then-exclusive registrar for all .com, .net, and .org domains -- before ICANN.* Deployed corporate Intranet; developed web-based applications to enhance Customer Service.* Wrote interactive "whois" client; designed numerous utilities to manage domain registration.
