I'm currently developing new features for Power Virtual Agents as a part of our Platform team. I've lead the service-side implementation for global variables, creating the technical design, scheduling work, and implementing the service side portions of our services. At the same time, I've been championing improving the reliability of the authoring platform as a whole. I've been able to help bring our APIs up to meet our 3-Nines SLA for our major scenarios, proactively finding issues via business intelligence reporting, and representing our team in weekly service health reviews.

I joined Microsoft as a Dev/SRE for Microsoft's Virtual Agent, a customer support chatbot. I was responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Azure Infrastructure, as well as keeping and bringing my services in compliance. I also worked to modernize the application infrastructure, migrating legacy code into Azure functions, as well as updating the services to use cloud native services, reducing cost, operational burden, as well as aligning services to business goals. I built out end user features as well, leveraging feature flags, feature flighting, and A/B testing to determine impact on our KPIs.

UI Development lead for the design and implementation of the user interface of Project Telescope's detailed data viewer. I worked with company VPs and user experience developers to create a novel UI to display thousands of data points in a visually appealing and easy to understand way.My development was shown at Epic's 2017 Executive Address in front of a group of 17k attendees, comprising members of the healthcare industry from across the world. I am lead the actual development of the detailed viewer, developing the core infrastructure of the viewer. In this role, I have implemented major client-side enhancements to reduce the client side rendering of the UI to near-instantaneous , enhanced the viewer to be more accessible to visually-impaired end users by adding keyboard shortcuts and adding additional support to screen readers. I have also worked with developers across multiple teams to optimize how data is loaded into the UI and take what was often a >5 second operation and reduce it to sub-second.

I worked as a teaching assistant, where my primary role was helping brand new programmers understand and overcome programming problems. My secondary role was working as a grader for both introductory programming courses as well as a course on optimization analysis

I helped beginning programming students learn to code, use simple IDEs, and introduced common coding conventions to them. Additionally, I graded homework and prepared and taught a lesson on sorting algorithms to the class.
