I'm currently working in a research centre (mideuc.cl), at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, as a researcher. My main interest focus on the application of data analysis and methodologies to applied settings, such as those related to policy making, and in particular for issues related to education. I hold an special attention for studies which relies on the use or Large Scale Assessments (e.g., PISA, ICCS, PIRLS, TIMSS, PIAAC) and national records. Other of my interests covers the analysis of social surveys of opinions, and analysis of surveys from organizations and/or companies.My methodological interest covers the application of structural equation modelling (SEM) (e.g., factor analysis, latent growth modelling, multilevel modelling, event history/hazard models, latent class analysis), meta analysis and psychometrics (e.g. item analysis, validity and generalizability).I'm a regular user of R for scripting routines for data design (i.e. create merges of data, re structure and documenting and make records analyzable), and to create results reports, while integrating MPLUS and/or STATA routines for modeling. Still a competent user of SPSS.
