Appointed by Governor Haley and confirmed by the Senate to serve on the governing board of commissioners for the SC Arts Commission. The board of Commissioners is composed of nine volunteer citizens appointed at large for three year terms for the purpose of guiding the development of the arts in South Carolina. Commissioners are residents of South Carolina who are selected for their practice of, participation in, or support of the creative and interpretive arts. The Commissioners meet regularly to develop long term statewide stragetic planning, to take action on funding and formulating policy for the Arts Commission.

Director of Instrumental Music: Conduct orchestra and rhythm section for rehearsals and weekly church services. Compose, arrange, and orchestrate music for weekly church services and special events. Coordinate with volunteer and professional musicians to fulfill instrumentation needs for live and recorded services and performances. Create live audio and midi sound recordings to customize audio stem tracks for performances and rehearsals. Collaborate with production and church staff any musical and technical needs for services and special events. Highly skilled in Finale, Cubase and Ableton Live.

Expert Music Engraving

Primary music engraver/copyist for NYC based composer Andy Akiho. I update the engraving of older compositions and create parts and edit scores for new commissions; from smaller chamber ensemble pieces to works for large orchestra. The results of my efforts have been seen by the best professional orchestras and chamber ensembles in the world; NY Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Shanghai Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic and many others.

I was responsible for rehearsing and preparing the orchestra for Sunday services and special events. I orchestrated, arranged, and transcribed music for the orchestra and composed original music for video projects.

I taught 2nd - 5th grade students how to perform authentic Caribbean music on steel drums and various percussion instruments. The Logan Leopard Steel Band was a highly sought after student ensemble that typically performed 20+ performances annually throughout the local community and southeast USA.

I directed the concert band, 9th grade bands, assisted with the instruction of the color guard classes and was the caption head for all percussion ensembles. In addition to working at the high school level I also was involved with middle school percussion instruction.

I taught grades 6-8 beginning and intermediate band classes and assisted with the high school band program.
