I have published two books about child development organization Compassion International and the work they do around the world, releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. The first book, 'Go Into All The World', was published by ArkHouse Press in November 2014. The second book, 'In Their Own Words: The Impact of Compassion Sponsorship as told by.

Over the last 17 years I have sponsored 90 children in 26 countries with child development organization Compassion International, and have visited 40+ of them in 12 countries on 12 self-funded adventures. As a volunteer advocate I have travelled to schools, churches and other events in order to tell others about Compassion and the amazing work they do in.

At the start of 2019 my son Joshua was born with a complex incurable heart disease, requiring two open-heart surgeries in his first three months. As a result we were assisted by the support organization HeartKids, who have been a great support to us right from the start.This year I wrote a series of three blogs documenting our journey so far. I work for the Wyndham Basketball Club in the Big V competition on Game Days. I input stats into the computer during the game, print and distribute real-time stats to coaches and upload final results to league administrators.

As the scribe for the Premier B section of the VAFA (2015-2017) I wrote a weekly round-up of all matches which appeared in the VAFA publication the Amateur Footballer. I launched a 'VAFA Premier B' Facebook page which gained 650 members and engaged with clubs and players using my Twitter account.I am currently a freelance sports journalist with the Wyndham.

Philippines

I spent 10 months volunteering in an orphanage in the Philippines called The Ruel Foundation. My roles included childcare, teaching English, Maths and Music, petty cash, banking and driving. My main role was promoting Ruel via social media, engaging current and potential supporters with compelling and interesting stories about the children and what daily.

I ran separate websites for LifeSports Indoor Soccer competition (2005 - 2007) and Portland Basketball Association (2009-2012). This involved updating news, weekly scores, ladders, fixtures, finals draws and sometimes writing a summary of matches played.

Essendon Traffic School is a miniature road set-up where children can come and ride their bicycles and tricycles and learn about road safety. It is equipped with traffic lights, railways crossing, roundabout, pedestrian crossing and school crossing. I ran Education Sessions for children from pre-school to Grade 6, which involved explaining road rules.
