Book Author

Arkhouse Press

Victoria, Australia

I have published two books about child development organization Compassion International and the work they do around the world, releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. The first book, 'Go Into All The World', was published by ArkHouse Press in November 2014. The second book, 'In Their Own Words: The Impact of Compassion Sponsorship as told by Sponsored Kids and Their Parents' was self-published on Google Drive in 2018. Having seen Compassion's work first-hand in my travels to visit 32 of my sponsored kids in 12 countries, I am able to tell lots of real-life stories, firstly about the brokenness in the world, as well as the genuine transformation and life-change that God brings through the church and Compassion, giving them hope for the future.

Sponsor And Volunteer Advocate

Over the last 17 years I have sponsored 90 children in 26 countries with child development organization Compassion International, and have visited 40+ of them in 12 countries on 12 self-funded adventures. As a volunteer advocate I have travelled to schools, churches and other events in order to tell others about Compassion and the amazing work they do in releasing children and families from poverty in Jesus name. Because of my trips, blogs and personal stories I am able to speak from personal experience and I believe this increases the reality and impact of child sponsorship for my audience. My message is "This is real, and through Compassion you are able to make a genuine impact in the life of a child and family. I have seen it over and over again with my own eyes." Because of this, many children have been sponsored as a result of my advocacy.

At the start of 2019 my son Joshua was born with a complex incurable heart disease, requiring two open-heart surgeries in his first three months. As a result we were assisted by the support organization HeartKids, who have been a great support to us right from the start. This year I wrote a series of three blogs documenting our journey so far. It's purpose was to raise awareness of congenital heart disease and hopefully help, encourage and inspire people who may be going through a similar situation.
