Graduate Adjunct ProfessorWebster University Oct 2004 - Oct 2015Kansas City, Missouri AreaUpon receiving my BS in Human Ecology and MA in Counseling and Guidance, I became an official member of the American Counseling Association. Shortly thereafter, I achieved status as a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. Well equipped to launch my career, I received my first major position at the Niles Home for Children in Kansas City, MO as a Clinical Intern, advancing to VP of Programs within an 8-year period. In this role I oversaw daily business operations for a therapeutic residential and day treatment center with an operating budget of $2.7M. I managed program development, grant awards, and successful therapy treatments. I also sought new markets for the agency’s day treatment services and expanded the facility from a 1-room “schoolhouse” to multiple classrooms, serving the needs of 100+ children.
