¡Hola!I am Dácil Roca, a Senior Visual Development Artist from Tenerife, specializing in creating colorful and stylized concepts for animation, games, and books! Telling stories through images has made me dream since I was a kid.Since 2014, I have worked in animation, editorial, and advertising in different companies and cities. I am a Senior Concept Artist for animated productions broadcast on Netflix, Disney, and Clan TV. And the illustrator and cocreator of the book El libro secreto de las mujeres Canarias. My work has been featured in numerous international festivals, such as the Monstra Festival and Mediawave Festival, as well as the books and exhibitions Ilustradoras & Ilustradas and Los Autores del Salón. In 2023, I was invited as a Visiting Artist at the School of Visual Arts of New York in the Animation Department. In 2024 I won the Illustration Award in the International Comic and Illustration Festival of Santa Cruz.I am a Ph.D in Arts and a teacher at the Design Master at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the Universidad de La Laguna. My research on art for creative industries has been published in scholarly journals such as Con A de Animación and two books from the Delta collection of Ediciones Idea. I’ve been a board member of MIA Mujeres en la Industria de la Animación (Women in the Animation Industry) for the 2023-2024.Keep in touch!
