EditorNewbay Media Jan 2013 - Feb 2017New York, NyI managed a team of 10 staffers and contributors and oversaw staff and editorial strategy for Broadcasting & Cable magazine across all platforms, including print, online, conferences and email newsletters. During my tenure as editor, which began in March 2015 following a two-year run as executive editor, web traffic increased 32% and followers on Twitter and Facebook increased 24%. Site engagement showed sequential growth each month since June 2015. I introduced Chartbeat, Google Analytics and other tools to the editorial process in order to gain deeper understanding of our content offering. Stories we broke were routinely followed by outlets from Advertising Age to the Washington Post to The Verge. Leading a legacy publishing brand into the mobile age, especially given the strict pay-wall strategy that I inherited, was no small challenge. Yet I showed innovative and entrepreneurial thinking in terms of conceiving and executing online content strategies, re-energizing breaking-news and enterprise reporting efforts and refining newsletter curation. In 2016 and 2017, the print magazine was nominated for two Jesse H. Neal Awards, the first times in its history that it has received multiple nominations for the prestigious business journalism prize. -
Senior Vice PresidentRubenstein Communications Jun 2009 - Dec 2012I worked in the firm's corporate entertainment practice, handling such clients as Tribeca Enterprises and Paramount Pictures. Contributed across a wide range of service areas, from messaging to web content development to brand positioning to media and reputation management. -
