During my internship at BSNL, I've been learning about various aspects of communication systems in ECE. This includes how communication systems work, from transmission to reception and processing. I've explored different types of communication systems like analog, digital, wireless, and wired, understanding the components involved such as transmitters, receivers, antennas, modulators, demodulators, repeaters, routers, and switches. I've also gained insights into communication channels, both wired (like copper wires, coaxial cables, and optical fibers) and wireless (including radio waves and microwaves). A significant focus has been on optical fibers, including their types (single-mode and multi-mode) and splicing methods (fusion and mechanical). Additionally, we have been taught about various generations of mobile communication such as 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G, including the frequency bands they utilize. My experience at BSNL has provided practical skills in setting up and maintaining communication networks, splicing optical fibers, and troubleshooting issues, along with a comprehensive understanding of the underlying technologies.

ATAL labs were set up in our school through the government of India and I was lucky to be a part of it in the last 3 years of my schooling. We addressed various problems and worked on finding efficient solutions for that. I got to study different projects and it was very informative.
