Major Projects- Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Stations ProjectCross Yarra Partnership- Design Joint Venture Arcadis Arup WSP (AAW) is a joint venture engaged for the detailed design services for the Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Stations project – an $11 billion, multi-disciplinary, city shaping project that will help define the future of Melbourne. It includes the construction of twin 9km rail tunnels and five new underground stationsMy role in the utilities team involved assisting in the design and coordination of the utilities packages (precinct wide), reviewing and responding to stakeholder comments and ensuring project requirements are met.- Suburban Roads Upgrade (SRU) which involved the development of concept reference designs to be issued for tender.I began on the SRU project in a Project Assistant role early in 2018 and then transitioned to work on the civil design as I moved into the Highways team early in 2018. I worked primarily on the Lathams Road and Craigieburn Road packages using MicroStation, Inroads and Autorturn to produce 2D functional designs. My role included optioneering of several intersections across these packages and providing advice to the design manager/civil lead to assist in the decision-making process.

Major Projects- City Link Tulla Widening Project The CityLink Tulla Widening project involved freeway widening to provide additional lanes, interchange upgrades and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the section of freeway from the Melbourne Airport to Bulla Road.I worked to produce the detailed drainage design for the Citylink Tullamarine Widening Project for the Carrick Drive to the Airport Package and later the English Street Collector Distributor Variation Package. I undertook drainage design calculations and build up the pit and pipe network models using Inroads Storm & Sanitary. I undertook aquaplaning checks for various packages and coordinated with other disciplines to remove potential safety risks. This was my first experience in working on a detailed design project and I enjoyed and excelled to the challenge.
