Over the last 10 years + most of my experience has fallen into the area of customer support for networking and computers. While being at Dell and now Quest Software, I primarily provide software and hardware support related to KACE's System Management Appliance and System Deployment Appliance. My responsibilities as part of the support team are to assist customers with issues that may arise. This includes any type of break/fix support, "How to" instruction, and training.At SBU I was responsible for testing all software applications, smartphone compatibility, and new technologies. Assisted in network design and implementation. Some of this testing required me to set up test domains with DNS and DHCP. I was on the IT project management team for new technology and piloted the implementation of VMware View for the campus labs. This involved installing and configuring VMware server OS.However, during my time in the Air Force, I enjoyed the challenge of troubleshooting problems on faulty circuit boards down to component level. The radar systems I maintained have given me the experience to understand and troubleshoot electronic systems required to create mechanical movement.
