Here I discovered my love for teaching group fitness classes. Prioritizing my client's workout experience helped me create strong relationships as well as enhanced the WREC's profile with new and established members.• Conducted 5 workout classes (indoor cycling and abs) in addition to substitute classes on a weekly basis• Taught and demonstrated use of training equipment with instruction on proper technique and form• Developed and applied basic anatomical knowledge during class instruction • Maintained a safe space for my clients to achieve their fitness goals • Worked closely with WREC management to facilitate client and facility needs

Led an account of 6 for Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP), a local non-profit organization that works to provide housing assistance to underprivileged individuals in the North Valley community. Our work included promoting and assisting a special event, pitching to media across various outlets, showcasing CHIP's success stories through written and video content and curating an effective social media plan. Worked on 2 other accounts: J&PR Wired the annual newsletter of the Department of Journalism and Public Relations, CSU Chico and Tehama Group Communications Public Relations team.

Popfolio is a digital media network consisting of multiple online platforms, where we produce original creative content in the form of podcasts, videos, websites and digital campaigns to help connect brands with their audience.Provided content for all 3 online platforms under Popfolio Network, namely:• Tongue in Chic: an online fashion portal• Mak Chic: an online portal for Urban Malaysian mothers• Poskod.My: an online magazine about city, community, and culture in the Klang Valley

Contributed weekly to the Arts and Entertainment section in The Orion, Chico State's independent, student-run newspaper where I headed my own column called Mix with Marissa. Conducted interviews on topics such as music, art, movies and anything in the pop culture scene. Pitched and wrote video scripts for The Orion website.

I spent a semester at KCSC, Chico State's in-house radio station as a co-host on a weekly DJ set focused on EDM. Wrote weekly reviews on the latest album releases for multiple genres and cataloged the KCSC library.
