To support survivors of sexual assault and rape in the ER.

 Caseload of 20 consumers Develop and implement service plans. Conduct bi-monthly home visits. Complete monthly apartment inspections. Attend to the quality management of consumers charts, such as: writing progress notes, service plans and psychosocials, obtaining consents and other medical and psychiatric documentation. Facilitate groups, such as: women’s group, explorer group and community meeting. Assist consumers with applying for benefits and entitlements with Public Assistance and Social Security. Escort consumers on recreational activities.

Bronx, NY Catholic Charities of New York City Residential Counselor- Bronx Supervised ResidenceCounselor in a 24 hour supervised residence for the chronically mentally ill, including MICA, AOT and Forensic residents. Develop and implement treatment/service plans. Attend to the quality management of resident charts, such as: writing progress notes and psychosocials, obtaining consents, and tracking of medical and psychiatric appointments. Prepare HRA applications for residents who are ready for discharge. Counsel residents on goal oriented issues as well as daily events. Monitor and track residents’ medication; including obtaining prescriptions, follow up on medication changes, tracking the receipt and discard of medication and oversee the daily supervision of medication. Prepare chores schedules and conduct community meetings with clients and assist with meal planning and preparation. Conduct daily environmental checks of the facility to ensure safety and cleanliness.  Attend and help organize recreational events with residents. Assist Senior Counselor with staff scheduling.
