Director Of Audience DevelopmentSt. Louis Business Journal Aug 2015 - Aug 2016St. Louis, Missouri, UsAs the Audience Development Director at the St. Louis Business Journal, I led a team of sales consultants to meet an annual budget of $1.1 million. I developed new sales strategies and worked with the consultants to implement the strategies at the St. Louis Business Journal. Additionally, I assisted other Audience Development Directors in other cities with developing and implementing the strategies for their local markets. Back at the St. Louis Business Journal, I increased revenue under each potential revenue stream in the Audience Development Department, which includes, subscription sales, reprint sales, over the counter sales, and event sales. At the time of my departure in August 2016, the Department was expected to exceed year end budget by over 5% and I had already exceeded the previously struggling non-subscription sales revenue goal by over 30% (roughly $17,000). I also managed all audience events and the Journal's women's affinity group called Very Special Subscribers Club (VSS). I planned all 2016 events for the VSS Club and worked with local business to provide the members with a behind the scenes look into various St. Louis businesses and institutions like the Selkirk Gallery, Four Seasons Downtown, Mavrik Jewelry, Jazz St. Louis and Washington University. I also developed all local marketing campaigns for the Department including, Exact Target, social media, and website campaigns. -
Development AssociateJewish Federation Of St. Louis Oct 2014 - Aug 2015As a Development Associate for Jewish Federation of St. Louis, I was responsible for three main initiatives: grant writing, giving circles, and special fundraising projects. As grant writer, I researched, composed, and submitted agency grant proposals. I collaborated with program directors and their teams to collect information pertinent to the grant application to then organize and compose the application. I successfully acquired $182,900 on behalf of Jewish Federation of St. Louis. Additionally, I oversaw the National Young Leadership Cabinet ($5,000+ donors). In terms of special fundraising projects, last winter, I produced a fundraising project titled "Spread the Light," which targeted Jewish families with children ages 0-18. I developed an online platform with an outside marketing team and individually designed presentations to educate the families and their children about the work of the Jewish Federation. I worked with the Marketing Department to upgrade videos for the project and have set a September 2015 relaunch date. I also piloted a program called Giving Circles at Jewish Federation. A giving circle is a group of individuals who pull together resources to allocate as a single entity. I recruited 10 young adults to participate in the young adult giving circle and developed specific programming for the group. I facilitated the discussions over 4 sessions from June to August. Additionally, I also recruited a group of teenagers, high school sophomores and juniors, for a teen giving circle that will take place in the next year. The last special project I worked on is Jewish Federation of St. Louis' major community wide event that was held on September 3, 2015. I coordinated interactive content produced by beneficiary agencies for the event attendees.
