My background is agriculture engineer with specification in automatism and smart grids in greenhouse environments through remote sensing control. As a PhD student at Aarhus University my research area is Indoor Vertical farms and how we can make even more sustainable the new innovative production line by minimizing the energy demand cost. Aiming to bring this technology outside of University for the final urban farms, I am designing a new software which synchronyzes the properties of the plants and their reaction in the photosynthetic rate with the energy demand response in order to provide a more sustainable environment for urban farmers. Our program give the opportunity to urban farms to reduce their operational costs coming from the electricity demands of their systems. I won a scholarship to participate in EIT Food Venture Program and receive all the first necessary tools that will guide us to establish my own start up.
