I am a patent scientist at FPA Patent Attorneys with several years of research experience in synthetic chemistry laboratories specialising in green chemistry, organometallic chemistry and organic chemistry. Prior to joining FPA, I was a postdoctoral research fellow and PhD researcher in the School of Chemistry at Monash University. My work had an emphasis on utilising less toxic and more environmentally benign metals for synthetic transformations. This work involved several international collaborations with academics based in the USA, UK and France. My postdoctoral position was directed to metal hydride hydrogen storage materials.I am an author on several peer-reviewed publications, with articles in high impact journals such as Angewandte Chemie and Chemical Science. I have also been invited to present my research at several national and international conferences.Before moving to Australia, I completed my master’s degree at the University of Oxford in the UK, where I spent a year researching homogeneous metal hydride catalysts for the reduction of carbon dioxide. At Oxford, I was the recipient of several scholarships for my academic performance and graduated with first-class honours. I then completed my PhD at Monash having received a full RTP and MITS scholarship as well as being nominated for the outstanding thesis award.
