Working in Automotive Design Office for the past 5 years, I have solidified myself as an integral part of the team. I have enhanced my skill set at every opportunity while being in the department. I was involved in a winning Quality Circle Activity competition, with our idea of saving time, money and improving quality has been implemented across all our sites, such as Romania, Morocco, and Hungary. Through being proactive and seeking new opportunities, I have been able to learn all roles in our department, becoming one of the most experienced within my team. We begin by registering parts (connectors, clips, protectors, tapes, etc.) on our internal system, where every part has a unique 153 field input, so it is essential to have a keen eye for detail. I work on a system called HBS, which is an intelligent software similar to CAD where we draw the vehicles complete wiring harness. I also use AutoCAD to create 2D drawings of all components to be used on our HBS system.There is a task where I have to interpret detailed engineering drawings, which are often in a foreign language. Here I would use an imaging software to create our own engineering drawing with the information desired that is then set as standard to use across all our sites.Recently I have been tasked with training existing/new members of our department across all tasks, creating standards and manuals for everyone to follow.This year I was chosen to liaise with the Ford team in our Morocco manufacturing site to perform a joint study check, where we ensured that all standards were met during the build phase while solving any problems that arose.
