I’m a multicultural individual with roots in Korea and the Philippines, and I’ve lived in Canada for the past several years now, moulding into the local community of Vancouver. My diverse background has taught me how to adapt to new environments quickly and view the world from wider angles, which are proven invaluable skills in my marketing roles.I held positions in various fields from the VP of Marketing to an English Language Teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. I have developed strong skills in visual design, social media promotion, team management, and curriculum development through my diverse work experiences and education.As the VP of Marketing at UBC Korean Commerce Student Association, I led a team of creative executives to produce visual assets for academic and social events and actively promoted them on Instagram. I collaborated with other teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals and deadlines.I obtained a role as a social media marketer @ Okoman Sushi by openly and independently seeking hands-on marketing experiences. With the proposal and execution of promotion projects, the restaurant gained acknowledgement and engagement with their customers. Not to mention, the collaboration with a local food account resulted in viral reel promotion on Instagram.I ALWAYS seek opportunities where I can expand my capabilities and accumulate professional experiences.
