Since finishing the leaving certificate in 2011 I worked in multiple different sectors.On finishing school I was hired into a factory learning the skills of an aluminium fabricator, this involved the completion of making window frames and door frames from start to finish.On finishing that job I moved on to my next venture which was customer service and technical support within a call centre. In doing this it created great customer service skills and also the ability to locate issues and resolve them. From there I took up some sales work as I was waiting to move abroad to help my family get their business up and running as a tyre fitter and mechanic, giving me great confidence with dealing with general public. Once I moved abroad I spent my time doing the job I was initially brought over to do but also help with the marketing and social media of the new business and also the management of one of two garages that the family ran.On moving home is when I got into the career I am currently in. As growing up I always had a keen interest in hair but never got the opportunity to do so, so once I arrived back to Ireland I went on a course almost immediately and from there I was hired in my current position, I also get to use skills from each area I’ve worked to help me with the job I do such as my social skills, customer service, sales of products, time keeping, working both alone but also within a team and managing my own social media and advertising.
