Assignments ranged from writing and editing short news stories to writing features articles and conducting interviews. Also, collaborating on marketing strategies for various projects.

www.tapmag.net is a Berlin based, online magazine in English, covering political, cultural, and life- style issues from a transatlantic perspective.The brainchild of myself and a fellow student, I worked with our team of five to develop the concept and design of tapmag. In addition to editorial work and leading regular meetings, I wrote numerous articles on a wide range of issues, and covered local transatlantic events. Notably, I did on-the- ground reporting from the 2007 9/11 memorial ceremony at Ground Zero, NYC, and the U.S. presidential election 2008 in Washington, D.C.

As an integral part of the dynamic Transatlantic Trends team, my work included, but was not limited to:- Analyzing and interpreting statistical data;- General organizing and coordinating;- Creating PowerPoint presentations for the German pre-briefings and public rollout presentation (Microsoft Office);- Assisting Senior Director Heike MacKerron and Senior Transatlantic Fellow Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller throughout, but especially during the pre-briefings at the German Chancellery, the German Foreign Ministry, and the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, and the public rollout presentation in Berlin on Sept. 7-9, 2009.Transatlantic Trends – www.transatlantictrends.org – is a highly regarded annual survey that measures broad public opinion in the United States and 12 European countries, and gauges transatlantic relations through interviews with more than 13,000 people. The findings were featured in such news media as the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Economist, BBC, NBC, the Financial Times, and Der Spiegel.After working on Transatlantic Trends, I went on to become the personal intern of Senior Transatlantic Fellow Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller.
