Azerbaijan

• Transferred lesson planning, classroom management, and interactive methodology skills to 5 Azerbaijani counterparts via lesson planning sessions and co-teaching 16 classes of 5th – 11th grade students each week. At the end of the year, counterparts displayed initiative to create and carry out lesson plans independently.• Founded and directed the Azerbaijani Ultimate Frisbee League (AUFL). Initiated the interest of 20+ volunteers to develop clubs in their communities. Through third-party contributions and grant money, obtained 270 Frisbees, 300 cones, 200 translated educational pamphlets and a budget to host a training clinic for 65+ participants. Filmed and produced 4 instructional videos for coaches and participants in Azerbaijani.• Motivated a committee of 4 volunteers to organize the first nationwide ultimate tournament season with 12 teams, 200+ youth and 8 tournaments. Designed a long-term sustainable development plan for AUFL.• Founded and directed the Sustainability Committee for the international writing competition, Write On, and the Sustainability Committee for a girls leadership summer program, GLOW (Girls Leading Our World), by designing a long-term transition plan for each program.
