Also utilized a configurable modular design that dramatically reduced lead times, increased sales margins, and reduced costs by up to 30%.• Interpret product requirement documents (PRD), create piping and instrumentation diagram (PID), layout system architecture, select components and write design specifications, lead design and risk assessment reviews, manage product and system configuration BOM accounting for all sales options.• Analysis of Thermal, Fluid, and Structural aspects using hand calculations and FEA Simulation tools to design and manage process flow of inert and hazardous gases, seismic loading, and thermal loads on equipment via efficient distribution of cooling air or water. Performed detailed analysis and endurance testing to ensure the reliability of components.• Create CAD models for all assemblies and sub-components including: sheetmetal enclosures, panels and brackets, custom machined metal and plastic parts, welded plumbing assemblies and electrical component layouts to meet performance, reliability and serviceability requirements. • Create and review drawings. Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis.• Manage prototype quotation and procurement• Hands-on prototype build verification and validation • Manage 3rd party equipment audits that ensure designs meet all applicable standards.
