As the Strategy Developer for Private Sector Engagement at The Amahoro Coalition, I lead the country strategy across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Cameroon, and the Central African Republic. My focus is on identifying and engaging private sector organizations committed to creating long-term, sustainable employment opportunities for forcibly displaced people (FDPs). By collaborating with companies, we aim to co-create market-based solutions that leverage both human and financial capital, fostering inclusive business models that support refugees and displaced communities.

The Amahoro Coalition is an African-led initiative convening multi-sector actors from across the region to accelerate private-sector leadership in driving sustainable market-based interventions that advance economic inclusion for displaced populations. Our mission is to engage and enable the African private sector to expand access to education and livelihood opportunities for refugees while creating value for African businesses and society at large. Our vision is for refugees to be able to lead lives of dignity and achieve their full potential, ultimately paving the way to more inclusive development and peaceful prosperity throughout the African Continent. The Amahoro Coalition champions the need for home-grown solutions to the region’s refugee crisis. We provide structure and resources to help unlock the potential of the African private sector to generate transformative opportunities for displaced communities. The Coalition's activities fall under four overarching themes: Invite, Inform, Innovate, and Inspire. Initially in Kisumu, Kenya for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Communitions role, I have since relocated to Kampala Uganda, where I am managing the Implementation of carbon credit funded projects all of which are focusing on Women's Health, Economic Empowerment (green jobs) and Climate reslience. Our most recent focus has been on EUDR and improving smallholder livelihoods.

Travel Brilliant is a million-dollar turnover agency which also manages three bar restaurants in the centre of Barcelona. Recognized for my unwavering loyalty and strong work ethic, I ascended through various roles over a decade within the agency: Events Manager (Summer seasons 2014 - 2017), Supplier and Booking Manager (2013), and Trilingual Tour Guide (2011, 2012). Travel Brilliant also covered the cost of my Post-Grad in Financial Accounting, enabling me to manage the accounts. I supported the agency's survival through Covid-19, securing various loans and negotiating existing contracts.

During my time at HAU, I helped organise and run the annual Palliative Care Training Course for African health care professionals from 10+ francophone African countries.I also joined the communications team to help promote the organisation. My main joy whilst in Uganda was conceiving (filming and editing) various videos used for international fundraising.
