This pub/restaurant position required having specific product knowledge of a large range of craft beers as well as an extensive food menu, in order to upsell and promote trade in an area of high competition. Customer interaction was key, and included relaying product information with detail and enthusiasm.

The Community Outreach program of Edinburgh University Music Society organised events such as the Education Project, which brought together children from Edinburgh primary schools to experience a symphonic orchestral rehearsal and meet experienced and inspiring musicians.

Translating court documents from Spanish into English. Working on time-sensitive translations containing specific legal vocabulary required efficient organisation and meticulous attention to detail.

Working at this bustling venue gave me experience of the stamina and professionalism required to work the Fringe festival, maintaining efficiency during long shifts, pulling my weight as part of a large site team and providing a welcoming and chatty customer experience.

Maintaining this longer-term position at EUSA involved regular and varied shifts across several venues. My responsibilities involved making a full menu of coffees and serving main meals and snacks. Cleaning was a vital part of this role in order to maintain food hygiene standards.
