As a Library Assistant at Auburn Public Library, I am passionate about enhancing community access to information and resources. I engage with patrons in person and through various communication channels, providing customer service and technical support. My role also involves designing engaging displays to promote library services, training staff to improve our team's efficiency, and ensuring that visitors have a positive and enriching experience. With a strong commitment to fostering a love for reading and lifelong learning, I strive to create an inviting environment that meets the diverse needs of our community.

Designed and implemented educational programs for the community as an outreach of the College of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences. Groups served by programming included preschool children, elementary & high school classes, senior citizens, college students and the general public. Created and developed a social media presence for KPNC which now has over 2,800 followers. Led educational tours at KPNC and took programming out into the community. Collaborated with the City of Auburn and other AU departments. Managed KPNC teacher/naturalists and volunteers.

Responsible for preparing and utilizing curriculum for the City of Auburn's Parks and Rec preschool program.

I'm the creative force behind lovely stories which bring children closer to nature. I write and publish children's books, including the Samantha Series of Chapter Books. In addition to the creation of books, my work as an author often brings me into classrooms to talk to kids about writing, animals, and nature.
