Bahamas Project Dolphin: P.I. for long-term field project looking at acoustic communication and social behavior of wild spotted and bottlenose dolphins endemic to the Bahamas. Design research protocols, collect, record, and analyze data based on underwaterobservations. Disseminate knowledge gained from this research through publications, conferences, and newsletters.• Led volunteer research teams, presented lectures.• Designed and taught college field courses on research in marine mammal behavior.Turneff Atoll Belize Bottlenose Dolphin Project: Ran 2008 field project looking at underwater acoustic signals of resident bottlenose dolphins. Designed research protocols, collected and analyzed acoustic and behavioral data, led research teams, presented lectures on dolphin biology, ecology, behavior, and conservation.

Designed and ran assays examining thermotaxic behavior in Drosophila, performed PCR, cloning, bench work. Managed lab supplies and equipment, budget, hiring and training of new staff, kept lab in compliance with safety regulations and codes.
