I work part-time as a bartender for a small, traditional Scottish bar in Edinburgh's New Town. As well as serving drinks and waiting tables, I have managed their social media and completed a social media training course during my time here. A large part of my role over the past year has been adapting our approach after the pandemic, including implementing table service, taking bookings and staying vigilant around cleanliness and maintaining social distancing.

As a researcher at Charlotte Street Partners I assisted in any work that needed done around the office including making media packages, briefing partners on client projects and organising invite lists for corporate events. I also had the opportunity to write their Daily Briefings, which were a round-up of the latest business news mailed out to hundreds of subscribers, and I wrote an opinion piece which was featured on her website.

During my first year of university, I worked in this independent bookshop in Stockbridge. I was in charge of day-to-day running of shop including registering new stock, keeping shelves full and assisting customers. I ran events with authors and founded their Short Story Club. I stepped up and took on significantly more shifts and greater responsibilities when the manager had to take time off.

During high school, I taught drama to children aged 5-17 after school and during school holidays. I assisted in devising & directing end of term shows, organised warm-ups and workshops and facilitated communication between parents and teachers. I worked at drama camps throughout school holidays, which included being in charge of large groups of children and co-ordinating activities.
