Hello! I am a senior nursing student at Texas A&M University School of Nursing graduating in May 2023 with my BSN degree. My prospective career is in the ICU in the Southeast Texas area.Mission Statement: My mission is to provide compassionate patient care while demonstrating safety as my top priority in order to achieve efficient, effective, and honest care.Nursing Philosophy: As a nursing student, I demand honesty and excellence in everything I do. I truly believe that the nursing profession includes a holisitic approach with values such as competency, compassion, veracity, and effective communication. My story starts with my grandfather, whom was diagnosed with leukemia years back. As a young girl, I could not understand the diagnosis or what was happening around me. Nursing to me, was introduced by the wonderful nurse that held my hand that day in the hospital when my grandfather passed ultimately inspiring me to create a similar change in patient lives in the future. My interest in acute care was sparked throughout nursing school among discussions and clinical experiences.
