“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” –Anna Karenina, opening sentenceFrom the time I was a little girl, my inquisitive nature always had me asking questions about how life works. At age 13, my favorite book was Anna Karenina which made me ponder and helped me understand why some people got along and others did not. Why some people suffered and others were happy. I was often told I was destined to be a therapist. And now, more than 30 years later in private practice in Denver, CO., I am still passionate about my work. Working with people who feel “stuck,” and helping them to overcome obstacles to their emotional well-being is the most rewarding part of my work. I like to think of therapy as a puzzle – assembling the pieces of your life one by one. At first, it may appear challenging, but as patterns begin to emerge, the picture becomes clearer. My many years of experience and training have provided me with a depth of understanding and compassion for helping my clients successfully overcome their challenges. Ultimately, therapy is a dialogue and I believe it to be a helpful and rewarding experience. "I can honestly say that no one has come close to having such an influence on my life as you have, and for that, I am eternally grateful." –R.H.Email: daisybrl@aol.com
